When testing or troubleshooting your email settings there are a few things to be aware of. In most cases you're going to want to use SMTP. Rarely will today's server configurations even send mail using the PHP mail() function anymore and even if they do it's highly likely the recipient won't receive it. We recommend testing an email address that is not located on the same server as iDevAffiliate. This prevents mail from being delivered "locally" and fooling you into believing the mail is working properly. Just because you get mail on your own server doesn't mean mail is being sent off your server to another one. Please also be sure to check your SPAM folder for the test email.

Basic settings will look like the following.

Delivery Method: SMTP
SMTP Authentication Required? Yes
SMTP Port: 25
SMTP Character Set: utf-8
SMTP Security: None
SMTP Host: localhost
SMTP Username: Your Email Address
SMTP Password: Your Email Address Password

IMPORTANT
Please know that all servers (web hosting accounts) are configured differently and may require different settings. If you don't know what those settings are you will need to contact your web hosting provider as we will not know what your hosting provider looks for in email settings.
